Do you take custom orders?

If you are interested in a custom piece, please reach out to me at badseeddesignco@gmail.com or fill out the contact form here and let me know what you were thinking! Please note that for all custom pieces, I do require a 50% deposit to secure your place in my customs queue.

How should I care for My pieces?

Bad Seed Designs jewelry is intricately woven with glass seed beads, so it is important to keep in mind that each piece is delicate.

Hang up or lay earrings flat with fringe strands kept straight while you are not wearing them in order for them to keep their shape. Avoid getting earrings wet or wearing earrings in extreme humidity as exposure to water can compromise the quality of both the thread and the beads. Earrings with fringe tassels may become “stiff” when wet. If the fringe becomes “stiff,” gently roll beads with clean, dry fingers. Do not pull on the fringe as this may cause the strand to break. Avoid touching or handling the beads excessively, especially after using hand sanitizer, lotions, or oils.

HOW HEAVY ARE YOUR EARRINGS?

They are surprisingly light! The majority of my pieces are made of glass seed beads, which barely have any weight to them at all. The largest pair I currently make weigh about .21oz each, which is the approximate weight of a standard US Quarter.

What are your ear wires made of?

I use 14k gold filled, sterling silver, and occasionally argentium silver ear wires. If you require a different option than what is offered, please contact me or put a request in notes section at checkout.
